This Pakistani Startup Wants to Automate Boring, Repetitive Tasks for You

Millions of budding, aspiring young individuals graduate from business universities each year, only to end up doing boring and repetitive tasks. Not only does it waste their creative talents, but it is also demeaning to the amount of effort they have put in to get to that point in their life. One Pakistani startup, AItomation, is working to change that by making bots do the tedious, yet necessary, tasks. Meet Saad Ehsan, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at AItomation, and his brother, Umair Ehsan, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Saad, the elder one, is a graduate of the Easter Mediterranean University and soon after his graduation, he joined Nishat— one of Pakistan’s biggest textile giants. However, the job didn’t interest him at all as he was being made to do boring, repetitive work. As a result, he left the job and with the help of his brother— who he referred to as the “smart one” while talking to ProPakistani— started his very own startup called AItomation. Umair,

The National Assembly Standing Committee on Science and Technology witnessed interesting moments when the committee offered its services for raising the issue of meager budget allocation at high fora. A parliamentarian assured the ministry that allocation may be raised from the current Rs 7 billion to Rs 10 billion for the ministry and its allied department. However Secretary Science and Technology Fazal Abbas Maken declined the offer while saying that they lacked the capacity to absorb the funds due to human resources shortage. The committee met with Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema in the chair, and started discussing the performance of Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC). Android’s Marketshare in Smartphones Rises to 86%

This is a pretty expected script by now. Regardless of its competitors’ phone launches, every quarter the market share of Google’s Android only grows. Latest figures by Gartner put it at 86.2 percent of the entire market. The same quarter of last year, it stood at 82.2 percent share, compared to iOS’s 14.6 percent. As of today, Apple’s OS is further below at 12.9 percent, further brought by its own decline in sales. The remaining players got just 0.9 percent of the market. Windows, which remained third earned just 0.6 percent of the market. BlackBerry which has all but ditched BB10 for Android had 0.1-percent of the market while the “Others” segment recorded 0.2 percent of sales. Smartphone sales grew 4.3 percent in the quarter to a total of 344 million units. When it came to the companies’ table, the story was not different than expected there, either. Samsung continued its domination with 22.3 percent of the market, followed by Apple at 12.9. Huawei, Oppo and Xiaomi
