Inter-Ministerial Committee Meets for Implementation of Cyber Crime Bill

The first meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee constituted by the Prime Minister of Pakistan to develop the organizational structure and rules for implementation of Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 was held at MoIT today. The meeting was chaired by the Federal Minister for Law & Justice Mr. Zahid Hamid. Minister of State for IT Mrs. Anusha Rehman, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Khawaja Zaheer Ahmad, Secretary MoIT, Special Secretary Interior ADG FIA, Member Telecom, Member Legal and senior officials from Law & Justice, PTA, NECTA, IB, ISI & MoIT were also present in the meeting. The Committee extensively reviewed the PECA 2016 in the light of the ToRs of the IMC for PECA. Samsung Delays Note 7 Shipments for Additional Quality Control Tests

Samsung today said that it is delaying shipments of its newest Note 7 in markets where company’s flagship device Note 7 isn’t launched. Decision was made after media reports that said at least two Note 7 smartphones  exploded while charging . Korean tech giant said that Note 7 shipments are being delayed for now for additional quality control tests to ensure that its product is entirely safe before it is shipped to the consumers. Company has advised its customers to consume original charger only for Note 7 charging. While confirming  Reuters , Samsung said that shipments of the Galaxy Note 7 are being delayed due to additional tests being conducted for product quality. However, it didn’t confirm the markets where the launch / shipments will be delayed. It also didn’t say anything on what kind of quality control tests the company is conducting. Samsung’s Galaxy J7 Prime Comes with Full HD Screen, 3GB RAM

Weeks after the images for the same were leaked, Samsung have now officially launched the Galaxy J7 Prime. The device is now listed on the company’s Vietnam-based website. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC, clocked in at 1.6GHz with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. For your storage and memory requirements, the J7 Prime comes with 32GB expandable internal storage with 3GB of RAM. It packs a 3,300mAh battery which, in theory, should be good enough to last an entire day with moderate usage. At the back of this 5.5-inch full HD display, the device has a 13-megapixel rear camera which has a f/1.9 aperture with LED flash capable of supporting full HD video recording. Front end has an improved 8-megapixel front camera, compared to Samsung Galaxy J7’s 5-megapixel, which was released back in March of 2016. 10 Rupee Coins To Be Approved Today

A meeting of the Federal Cabinet will be held today on the instructions of PM Nawaz Sharif. The meeting will discuss the induction of the Rs. 10 coin and the revision of the design of the Rs. 5 coin among other things. The rumblings of introducing a Rs.10 coin are not new. Previously there were plans to put out a Rs. 10 coin to commemorate the 1st death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. In 2008, the State Bank issued 300,000 of the commemorative coins bearing Benazir’s portrait and inscribed with the phrase “Daughter of the East – Honourable Benazir Bhutto” in Urdu.
