Shahid Afridi Sued by Master Beverages for Damages Worth Rs. 60 Million


Former Pakistan captain, Shahid Afridi has been making the headlines for his controversial remarks in his biography, Game Changer.
While the concerned cricketers are preparing their responses to the claims made by Afridi, he himself finds himself in hot waters following a violation of an agreement with Master Beverages and Foods Limited.

Master Beverages and Foods Limited has sued the 39-year-old for damages worth Rs 60,000,000 and a car. Shahid Afridi was the brand ambassador for Master Cola.

According to the details, the terms of his agreement with the company do not allow him to sign another contract for brand ambassadorship for a cempetitor, however, the lawsuit claims that the cricketer has secretly signed another agreement.
Master Beverages and Foods Limited has filed its case with the Sindh High Court (SHC), which has summoned the star all-rounder on 28th May to submit his answer to the claims made by the plaintiff.
The court has directed Afridi to file his written statement before the said date.

Sindh Microfinance Bank Allowed To Kick Off Operations

Sindh Microfinance Bank Limited has been allowed to start its microfinance banking business at provincial level in Sindh after a licence was awarded to its management for meeting paid-up capital requirement of Rs 750 million.
