Attention Apple nerds, investors, media and everyone else who needs to know when Tim Cook’s next product event is going to be held: It’s going to be the week of March 21.
Or to put it another way, it’s not going to be on March 15, the time frame that other outlets previously reported, according to several sources. It is not clear if the event was moved or if this was the timing Apple had always planned.
The Korean site KG News first floated the notion of a date change earlier this week, as AppleInsider noted.
Apple cognoscenti still expect Cook and company to use the event to highlight evolutionary, not revolutionary product updates: A smaller iPhone, a revamped iPad and tweaks to the Apple Watch line. All of which sound interesting, but not nearly as interesting as Apple’s ongoing security/privacy fight with the U.S. government. That should be ongoing for a very long time.
